Where did you grow up? I grew up in Shoreview, MN – about 15 minutes outside of Minneapolis. I could usually be found commuting between sporting events or playing street games with my friends in the neighborhood (or possibly going door to door trying to sell rocks to our neighbors that I pulled from my mom’s garden).

Perfect Saturday? Early fall. Cook up a large breakfast for my wife of scrambled eggs, avocado, bacon, English muffin, and some fruit. Followed by 18 holes at Logger’s Trail in Grant, MN with my friends. By now it’s late afternoon / early evening: stop by the grocery store on the way home for hamburgers & brats, potato salad, and watermelon. Come home and relax with family and friends either watching football or baseball on TV or having a bonfire outside.

Most influential person to you? My high school football coach (Jeff Ferguson) who epitomizes what a great coach should be. He pushed us both on and off the field to be the best versions of ourselves. He led by example and is probably the most selfless person I know – always lifting up those who weren’t in the spotlight and showing us that, most of the time, football is not everything.

What word best defines you? Disciplined

History with your own family business? My mom started selling various items on eBay for family and friends about 20 years ago. Since then, her business has completely transformed into a full-service, estate liquidation company. It has been a blast watching and helping her grow the business over the years, as well as navigating through the growing pains that inevitably come with running a small business. My mom’s passion for what she does and helping her clients, through what is often times a very difficult situation, has made my job working with family / founders so much more meaningful.
