As an Associate, Ashley contributes to Carlson Private Capital’s deal underwriting and execution, relationship development, investment thesis development, and portfolio management.
Ashley joined Carlson Private Capital Partners in 2026. Prior to joining Carlson, Ashley worked in the Healthcare Information Technology group at Piper Sandler, where she supported the execution of sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions. Her work focused on crafting marketing materials, building financial and valuation analyses, and conducting due diligence across a range of deals for the healthcare provider sector. Ashley graduated from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University with a B.S. in Economics and a concentration in Finance. She also competed on the women’s tennis team.
Where did you grow up? I grew up in St. Cloud, Minnesota, where I played tennis for many years as a Tech High School Tiger alongside my three sisters. Tennis was a huge part of my childhood growing up. My family also spent many weekends at my grandparents’ lake cabin on Big Birch Lake, about an hour northwest of my hometown. After long weeks of training on the tennis court, we spent our weekends trying every water sport possible.
Perfect Saturday? My perfect Saturday starts with a smoothie and a hot yoga class. I’d then work on whatever mini home project I have underway—usually decorating much too early for the next season or holiday. After a cozy nap, I’d make a HomeGoods haul and meet friends or family for dinner on the water. I’d end the night with a good romance novel and a cup of tea.

Early Jobs and What Did You Learn/Like Best? I worked as a tennis coach for several summers growing up, coaching players from ages 2 to 15. It was especially rewarding to watch their confidence and skills develop over time. The experience taught me patience, adaptability, and the importance of meeting people where they are to help them grow. It also helped me appreciate the value of showing compassion for people at different points in their journey toward success.
