Where did you grow up? I grew up in Eden Prairie, a suburb in the southwest part of Minneapolis. Most of my childhood revolved around sports- I played baseball, hockey, and football, which meant we were always on the go for games and weekend tournaments. My younger sister has definitely seen enough baseball games in her lifetime!
Perfect Saturday? My perfect Saturday starts early in the crisp air of early fall with a morning round of golf with a few close friends (ideally walking away with the majority of the side bets). After that, it’s back home to fire up the grill, hang out in the backyard, and spend the rest of the day watching college football with friends and family.
What word best defines you? Ambitious
History with your own family businesses? About 50 years ago, my grandfather started a plastics business out of his garage, designing custom acrylic displays for retail customers. It’s a classic entrepreneur story – he took a big risk, took on more debt than was comfortable, and poured everything into building something from nothing. Today, the same business operates out of a 250,000 square foot facility, employes over 100 people, and services major retail clients like Best Buy, Sephora, and Verizon. I started working there as an early teen, doing everything from processing invoices to moving product in the warehouse – basically, any way I could add value. Growing up around the business taught me the importance of grit, adaptability, and taking pride in what you build.
